TWO

"live now."

Two words that I try and live by.

Two words that changed my life as I type this blog post.

It’s been awhile since I’ve written anything and this is because of school, fun, and adventure. Adventure that keeps me on the edge of my seat because of the anonymity of what may happen next. Something that may frighten most people but provides a certain type of ecstasy that can only be explained by those who have experienced it. And lucky enough for me, I’ve found a beautiful soul that I can share those adventures and memories with. A person who does not think failing is an option. A person who does not think that anything is impossible. Don’t stand in her way because she’ll knock you on your ass.

I begin to think of how this happened, and how two humans could happen to stumble upon each other. I think to myself and it really was a beautiful story of how a boy and a girl lived in the moment:

After her shameless DM on Instagram (she’ll hate me for saying that) and a night out, she came back and asked if I was awake. I had never met this girl in my life but all my friends were her friends so I guess she wasn’t too much of a stranger…Right?

We agreed to meet and the first thing that popped into my head was, “Klaus, the roof of Klaus is perfect.” Now keep in mind that I had no idea who this girl was, so if I got murdered on the rooftop, the only way anyone would have found me would’ve been from the awful stench or the birds circling overhead.

Luckily for me, I wasn’t found on top of the roof with birds circling overhead, instead I found myself on the rooftop at 1 AM with an amazing human being that had such passion, love, and grit within her. I had no idea what to think.

“How have I never met you?”

Before I knew it, I overlooked the baseball field, and the clock showed that it was 5 AM…

“How could that possibly be right????”

“We just got up here????”

“What in the????”

To survive the next day, we decided to leave the roof, and I walked her back. We were walking and talking and walking and talking and we finally reached where she was staying.

I looked at her and I don’t remember exactly what I said, but I’m sure it was a long the lines of, “I had a lot of fun tonight.” She proceeded to say the same, and before I knew it, she kissed me. I was so caught off guard I had no idea what to say, think, or do…

Little did I know, that kiss would bring me a semester of adventure with an amazing girl with a beautiful soul.
